VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona (ARECA) is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our AAHA-accredited, 24-hour emergency/specialty practice in Mesa, Arizona.

We currently have openings in the following departments:
Surgery – We are looking for a Surgery Technician to work either Monday–Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or Tuesday-Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. General daily duties include the following: history taking, PE/TPR, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics (including blood pressure, pt/ptt, i-stat, cbc/chem, digital x-rays, and ultrasound), sedation and anesthesia protocols, surgical assisting, set-up and monitoring.

Some of the surgical procedures performed at ARECA are: Total Hip Replacement, Urinary and Tracheal Stenting, TPLO, TTA, ExCap, Arthroscopy, and Hemilaminectomy.

Emergency: We have openings for ER Technicians to work either Wednesday-Saturday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, or 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. We are also looking for Technicians to work Sunday-Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, or 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. General daily duties include the following: history taking, PE/TPR, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics (including blood pressure, pt/ptt, i-stat, cbc/chem, digital x-rays, and ultrasound), sedation and anesthesia protocols, surgical assisting, set-up and monitoring.

Internal Medicine: We are seeking an Internal Medicine Technician to work either Tuesday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or Wednesday-Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. General daily duties include the following: history taking, PE/TPR, diagnostics (including blood pressure, pt/ptt, i-stat, cbc/chem, digital x-rays, and ultrasound), sedation and anesthesia protocols, assisting and set-up with scoping procedures, and pharmacy.
