Sodexo Facility Solutions division has an opening for an experienced and dynamic Hospital Director of Engineering located in Windsor, VT. As the Director of Facilities, you will oversee the Facilities – Engineering Department at Mt. Ascutney Hospital. The Director of the Engineering Department will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance and plant operations department within a hospital setting. Daily operations include customer service, staff development, regulatory compliance (JCAHO, NFPA, etc.), preventive and corrective maintenance, project management, master facility planning, and the department operating & capital budgets. The Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience in managing a large maintenance department in a 500+ bed healthcare organization along with the technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. CHFM is a plus.

Directs all maintenance operations at a health care facility with a managed volume 3 million dollars or less. Manages all aspects of routine maintenance at a hospital including management of the physical plant, electrical delivery systems, medical gas delivery systems, emergency generators, and physical plant troubleshooting and project management. Manages engineering staff including tradespersons, day laborers, electricians, painters, plant engineers, general contractors, journeymen and electrical engineers. May also be responsible for the general safety of the hospital and may act as the designated safety manager. May also be required to supervise any general contractor hired to assist the hospital with renovations, new construction or any modifications to the existing structure(s).
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Management Requirement - 3 years of management experience
Basic Functional Requirement - 3 years of functional experience
