Assist with tasks and oversee certain areas within the facility to include education, research, and ticket sales.
Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures, proper education presentations and follow through with directives to meet the operational needs of the department.
Monitor daily job performance of tour guide staff by evaluating in the job setting, monitoring interactions with guests and assisting when necessary.
Complete daily lunch schedule for Tour Guides and Ticket Booth Cashiers.
Perform role as acting Manager on Duty to resolve guest relation issues when tour guides and cashiers are unable to resolve in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Ensure educational information is being properly conveyed to the public by reviewing and evaluating information on printed brochures for guest enjoyment
Facilitate project development for the education department by developing various projects.
Monitor Hotel Accounting by reporting cash drawers overages and shortages and ensuring they balance with ticket sales.
Maintain employee attendance records by tracking employee tardiness and absences.
Approve and maintain a working schedule for tour guides and cashiers, and monitor time-off requests.
Monitor and assist the Program Facilitator with the Trainer for a Day program. Ensure the safety of all guests who participate in the program.
Monitor job performance of ticket booth staff by evaluating interactions with guests and assisting when necessary.
Ensure overall habitat maintenance and cleanliness by maintaining chemical spills and alerting Public Area Department when necessary.
Travel to various locations throughout the country to attend educational seminars per the Director request.
Oversee hiring practices, conduct interviews, make hiring decisions and ensure training programs reflect appropriate employee development guidelines.
Assist Curator of Education with any work delegated.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
