Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs and other resources as required for professional advancement.
Provides support and leadership to human resource manager(s) to ensure consistent interpretation and enforcement of policies and practices.
Provides expert advice in the creation and modification of Human Resource (HR) policies and determines appropriate communication plans.
Manages high profile projects and participates in key functional and cross functional initiatives.
Partners with leaders to learn the business, develop and implement proactive strategies to strengthen culture, productivity, and engagement within the workforce.
Coaches management concerning the performance management process, including talent assessment and career counseling to enhance employee development.
Analyzes turnover/exit interview data to proactively identify trends. Strategizes with senior leaders to facilitate targeted initiatives to increase employee engagement.
Assists in the investigation of employee complaints; partners with legal counsel when needed. Advises and counsels management in regards to appropriate action relative to employee relations and disciplinary issues to create consistency and ensure minimal legal risk.
Seeks and gathers information from employees and management to evaluate all elements of relationship between employees and the company to recommend action plans where appropriate.
Maintains knowledge of trends and changes in human resource legislation, educates management, and assists in performing internal audits to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and company policies.
Delivers training to reinforce supervisor/manager application of topics learned in the leadership development programs. Facilitates various HR related topics to enhance management skills.
Acts as a liaison with human resource functional partners to assist leaders and collaborate on various high profile project teams to design and deliver targeted strategies.
Builds and cultivates strong relationships with business partners to support the implementation of HR strategies.
A minimum of seven years of HR experience and a bachelors degree is required. Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience. A minimum of two years supervisory experience is preferred. Excellent communication, project management, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills are required. Travel is required 50-65% of time.
