AGU is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our dynamic Meetings Department. They will collaborate with Program Committees, team members and vendors to develop and maintain timelines with key action items related to the scientific program. They will manage data, processes and procedures related to abstract submissions (over 20,000) and the production of the scientific programs. Assure that all ongoing reports for abstracts are complete and accessible in a usable data format. They will analyze the data on submission flow and make recommendations for action. Also provide training to the meetings support team and supervise a coordinator.

The selected candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and five to eight years of manager-level experience. Must have experience managing a high-volume abstract submission process. They must have demonstrated knowledge of software applications, procedures, policies and the ability to adapt to new software systems. Excellent analytical skills, mathematical and organizational skills required. Excellent verbal and written skills are required, demonstrated ability to work on numerous projects and the ability to effectively implement and communicate new technology systems on all levels, i.e. with technology vendors, staff, program committees and AGU members. Must be able to understand the complexity of the factors needed to produce successful scientific meeting programs.
