Under the supervision of the Strides CRM lead, the intern will be able to learn all aspects that are involved in planning and implementing a community based fundraising walk for the purpose of learning the professional aspects of the position.

The intern will assist with developing a timeline and theme for Strides Internal Campaign; attend and participate in presentations made to prospective corporate sponsors and new team prospects, participate in weekly Strides meetings and help with organization and planning of meetings, assist with reports and tracking of weekly and year over year progress, assist in communicating with volunteers and staff the progress of the event, assist in outreach to the community for the purposes of awareness of the event, learn to manage an event website, assist in reviewing collateral materials, and assist with overseeing the logistical aspects.

Position Requirements

Demonstrate a relationship between their projected major field of study and the work of the American Cancer Society
Good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team
Computer skills necessary – Microsoft Office required
