Clinical Licensure Required : Nurse Practitioner
Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
The Guideline Writing team is a new team at MinuteClinic which will consist of current MinuteClinic nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants who will divide their time between clinical practice and writing guidelines. The team is responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of new and revised clinical guidelines for MinuteClinic services. Responsibilities of the team will include: researching and assessing current national standards of care and synthesizing information into concise clinical guidelines, working with IT to incorporate guidelines into the electronic medical record and coordinating with Operations and Clinical Services, Training and field leadership to ensure smooth integration of clinical into practice.
Reporting to the Director of New Products and Services, the Manager for the Clinical Guideline Writing team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the guideline development process. Managerial responsibilities include:
• Clinical and administrative supervision of the writing team to ensure the delivery of clinical guidelines into MinuteClinic practice,
• Coordination with the leader of Guideline Executive Oversight to ensure guideline content is consistent with MinuteClinic practice and is vetted through the guideline review process and,
• Coordination with the Director of Professional Development to ensure appropriate training and communication for deployment of guidelines into the clinic setting.
This is “hands-on” position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to direct a team working from remote locations. The ability to work directly with cross-functional departments, including operations, physician management, information systems, business analyst, field leadership and clinical providers is essential. Required Qualifications:
Experience: Have at least 3 to 5 years of NP or PA experience Have demonstrated leadership or managerial experience Have demonstrated excellence in clinical documentation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated management or leadership experience Proven ability to work effectively independently and with teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and to quickly adapt to changes and new ideas. Demonstrated writing and oral communications skills, as well as strong analytical and documentation skills. Experience in conducting literature reviews and analyzing evidence-based clinical research. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software. Preferred Qualifications:
Worked at MinuteClinic for a minimum of 2 years, preferred Education:
Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Business Overview:
