The Surveillance Systems Group pioneers integrated sensing and decision support systems for both Air Traffic Control and Homeland Air Defense. To accomplish these goals, this group employs a broad base of analysis, modeling, algorithm development, signal processing, software architecture and development, RF and digital hardware design, and system integration skills.

Information Systems Architect with software development and engineering team leadership experience to lead the instantiation of a software development laboratory, lease the development of operational prototype capabilities, and serve as on-site liaison at US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) headquarters at Scott AFB, Illinois. The ideal candidate would have the breadth to lead and contribute in several technical areas, including information architectures, service-oriented architectures, data modeling, analytical algorithmic applications, human system interfaces, and cyber defense.

PhD or MS with 5 or more years experience in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Science or related fields is required. A demonstrated record of innovation, leadership, experience working in a dynamic changing environment, and strong interest in applying information technologies in the transportation domain are critical. Software development and team leadership experience is required. Excellent communications skills and proven record in innovation and working independently are essential. Willingness to relocate to a field site in the St. Louis is required. Ability to interact professionally with the sponsor as on-site liaison is essential.
