The Advanced Electrical Systems Engineer will demonstrate accountability to lead, grow and contribute to a team of highly technical engineers & technologists in the development of next generation engine & subsystem control architectures, electrical power systems, technologies & demonstration programs for military and commercial applications.

Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
  • Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks
  • Integrate cross-functionally to derive electrical system level requirements to support program timing and performance needs
  • Perform trade studies to partition the system for optimal cost, weight, reliability and re-useability
  • Identify needed components with electrical functionality, plan and execute required technology maturity efforts
  • Work with the end-customer to evolve and optimize the basic functionality
  • Preliminary integration with potential suppliers; refine requirements
  • Create electrical system functionality and configuration from concept through preliminary design with limited data and information
  • Integration with GRC to promote and support technology maturation as well as identification of longer term technology needs

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum of 10 additional years of experience in an Engineering position

  • Prior experience and strong technical knowledge related to engine control technologies
  • Effective team building and project management ability
  • Experience in managing supplier designed hardware
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to obtain US DoD security clearance; Active US DoD security clearance
  • Prior experience or knowledge of aircraft systems & subsystems
