Focus on business process improvement (BPI) with the primary objective of reducing costs and increasing efficiency to assigned areas. Contribute to developing recommendations for process design changes for improvement to internal control systems. Identify basic to moderately complex opportunities to improve existing procedures and related tools to meet the requirements of an evolving workflow process. Establish metrics to measure the impact of basic process improvements. Analyze using statistical methodology looking for process opportunities gaps redundancies and effect change. Train resources in using specific Quality Methodology. Implement ideas/tools to support and/or improve productivity and efficiency. Drive a cross-functional team to project completion.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant additional experience in a related field. MBA desirable.
Experience: Two years' experience in project management and/or continuous process improvement management. Matrix supervisory experience desirable. Experience in financial control activity based costing process design and re-engineering large project management and capital intensive project evaluation such as EVA IRR or ROIC. Line management in an operating environment a plus. Formal project management training (e.g. PMI-PMBOK certification) process training (P.D.C.A) and/or Six Sigma certification (green or black belt) desired; or equivalent experience. Moderate to advanced skill level with Excel Word Power Point Visio and MS Project. Experience with Business Objects (Magellan) helpful. Project demands require long hours (overtime) for stretches of time. Some domestic travel may be required.
