The Customer Relations Manager is responsible for renewing existing corporate accounts and selling the Knovel product via telephone to customers in the assigned territory. The focus is on managing and expanding relationships with retention accounts while developing new relationships with newly acquired customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Promote and sell the Knovel products through phone calls, email, demonstrations and occasional site visits.

Provide technical and administrative information and price quotes

Provide updated marketing/sales literature to customers, keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company and preparing forecast reports as requested

Close sales to meet or exceed monthly sales goals and revenue quotas.

Collaborate with Marketing on marketing efforts and product launches; provide analysis and feedback.

Travel to trade shows and conferences; visit major customers, as needed.

Participate in sales and product training both remotely and in person as required.

Requirements:
B.S. degree and a minimum three years experience in sales, preferably in the software solutions or information industries.

Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and evaluating customer satisfaction.

Excellent communication skills are required, both oral and written, and the ability to effectively articulate the Knovel value proposition.

Negotiating skills.

Ability to efficiently manage own time and work in an unstructured environment while simultaneously accomplishing goals

Ability to possess the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge of Knovel product and an advanced knowledge of the Internet.

Strong mathematical ability.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and web conferencing experience.

Experience with CRM software, Salesforce.com preferred

Up to of 25% travel may be required
