We are seeking a Consumables Sales Specialist for the Washington, D.C. area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To promote the sale of the company's designated products within assigned territory in order to meet budgeted sales goals, covering the territory in its entirety by performing the following duties. Other duties that fall within the skill requirements of the job may be assigned.

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on established and prospective customers to create demand for the company's consumable and liquid handling products and/or solicit orders. This activity includes personal visits, e-mail follow up, and contact by phone.

  • Follows up and processes sales leads, based on information received from company trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone inquiries and other sources. Develops list of prospective customers on a local level.

  • Demonstrates products and provides samples to end user customers.

  • Organizes and participates in local product shows and seminars for the purpose of promoting products and company brand.

  • Maintains and updates company data as requested on E-Net/CRM.

  • Maintains accurate and current customer account database.

  • Promotes the sale of the company’s liquid handling service products/calibration services.

  • Takes direction for time management activities from Zone Sales Director.

  • Works cooperatively with their assigned General Laboratory Products Sales Specialist (GLS) and Equipment Sales Specialist (ESS) to promote company product sales.

  • Responsible for proper maintenance of company leased vehicles and company equipment.

  • Provides their supervisor required documentation on a timely basis: including time sheets, expense reports, itinerary, market/product questionnaires, etc.

  • Enforces, cooperates with and complies with all of the company’s inventory control policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
