Sales and Event Planning Representative Help save lives with your sales and event planning experience at the American Red Cross. Join our Donor Recruitment Team to ensure there is an adequate blood supply for accident victims, premature babies and other hospital patients in Central Illinois Heart of America Region. Responsibilities include: · Maintaining strong relationships with existing organizations that host blood drives in possible the following Peoria County, Galesburg, Henry County or Stark County. · Finding new businesses, schools, houses of worship, etc., to coordinate blood drives and recruit blood donors · Creating territory-specific donor recruitment strategies · Partnering with local media, community event organizers · Educating groups in order to increase blood collections The American Red Cross is looking for an individual who is: · Dedicated to the mission and success of the American Red Cross · Able to work well independently with a strong sense of urgency · Dynamic and persuasive, a strong closer · Able to excel in challenging environments and adjust quickly to changing conditions · Self-disciplined and organized · An engaging and enthusiastic public speaker · An excellent communicator and able to motivate and persuade others · Flexible – the need for blood is constant and this position requires some evening, weekend and holiday work This is a goal-driven sales position with a competitive base salary and a healthy monthly incentive program. Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or equivalent combination of related education and experience required. Minimum one year related experience required. Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
