Position: IT Senior Business Tech Analyst
Job Location: The Woodlands, TX
Duties: Defining and delivering the product vision, overall scope, and high-level product requirements for Aon Hewitt's Benefit Payment Services payroll offering. Defining the requirements management strategy for a project. Resolving open requirements items and managing the business owners to deadlines as it relates to the requirements definition process. Defining or reviewing requirements for change controls as needed. Working with all stakeholders to understand change drivers and requesting change and its impact. Coordinating prioritization and approval of changes. Leading product requirement meetings to elicit and understand the business owners' needs/requirements. Leading systems requirements meetings to identify issues and complete the scoping. Identifying any requirements, which deviate from the standard Aon Hewitt delivery model and managing these through the appropriate change control processes. Reviewing and validating product requirements based on domain knowledge/expertise and understanding of business process and challenges. Understanding business requirements to convert them into product/system specifications that fully represent the product requirements. Transferring the business need and requirements to the development team by supporting them 'hands-on' during the entire development lifecycle. Conducting performance evaluation and implementation of the feasibility of the high-level design. Contributing to the system configuration and integration testing. Supporting and managing User Acceptance Testing activity in conjunction with the test team. Assisting in deploying/migrating the product. Acting as a resource throughout the life of a project to the Development Team to clarify the requirements, and managing any requirements changes resulting from development issues or business issues. Providing support to the development team, including consulting with business owners requesting custom functionality. Managing and implementing/supporting major system enhancements by establishing appropriate change management procedures (internal and external) and identifying scope changes. Supporting the rollout of new releases to the products by ensuring both technical and operations needs are addressed. Overseeing other Business Analyst(s) as they produce functional specs, designing logical database structures, and supporting the development team. Identifying root causes of delivery issues (e.g., system edits, manual processes, patterns in workflows, repeat calls etc.). Taking a strong lead in working with the team to understand areas of process improvement and developing solutions. Acting as an expert resource to the team on system functionality and approach, including solving systems operations issues, and performance initiatives.
Minimum Education required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science or related quantitative field.
Minimum Experience required: 6 years of PeopleSoft experience.
Minimum Skills required: Must have experience with: PeopleSoft North America Payroll; process reengineering; gathering requirements and delivering requirements documents; working with a standard development process; and creating use case models. Must have strong technical knowledge of PeopleSoft version 9.0 or above.
