Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:

The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting in both the strategic and tactical implementation of the marketing initiatives. The individual assigned will be responsible for product management, competitive analysis, market research, marketing programs and business analysis, project management, and other duties as assigned. Undergraduate currently enrolled in college program. Student should have interest in a degreed program which includes a Business, Marketing, Psychology, Statistics, or Sociology focus.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Management of Physician Training satisfaction surveys –
Coordinate dates/times with Physician Training –

Distribute surveys day of training –

Combine monthly results in Excel spreadsheet –

Develop Excel charts for 6-month report
  • Summer Sales Meeting Surveys –
Develop on-line surveys to gain level of satisfaction to the Summer Sales Meetings for Bard Peripheral Vascular and Biopsy Systems –

Develop charts/graphs for report summary
  • Market Research Conference Surveys –
Develop Excel charts and graphs to use in development of Marketing Research summary

Basic Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in undergraduate degree program
Proficient with Microsoft Office (preferably PowerPoint & Excel 2007)
Strategic and creative thinking ability and mental agility
Flexibility and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
Ability to work and excel in a team environment
Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong initiative, follow-through, and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills required

Education and/or Experience:

The ideal candidate will currently be pursuing their undergraduate degree with a concentration in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Psychology or Sociology.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee is required to read and interpret and follow processes and procedures. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
