The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for managing product information flow and data entry using H-E-B/Central Market purchasing management systems - IMS, DSDS, OMI, W701, PMM, NIS, BI, DSS, CPS, CMOP,CT2020 , Finnet and Microsoft Office.
The coordinator will manage communication between Central Market procurement, operations, pricing, marketing, retailing services, H-E-B corporate and our vendor community.

General vendor administration includes:
*Accountable for accurate system input and paperwork for product and vendor maintenance
*Troubleshoot vendor/item problems at store level and take appropriate action for resolution
*Research and correct invoice/billing issues
*Communicate effectively with vendors and ensure timelines are followed
*Maintain and update vendor rosters and cost changes
*Collaborate with vendors on HEB/Central Market processes and paperwork requirements
*Organize information flow and data entry as directed by Procurement Buyers and BDMs
*Compile and update newsletter, flier, and other ad items timely and accurately
*Respond to product questions and item requests from both internal and external customers
*Create simple to moderate reports with the use of BI and Excel in order to research and prepare vendor cost comparisons
*Assist Buyer/s with preparation of order spreadsheets for stores with historical data via BI
*Research and compile order guide information for specific sub-departments
*Procurement Leaders may assign other duties as needed
Experience and Education:
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*2-3 years of Experience (2-3 years practical business experience; two year experience in a customer service team environment; retail experience preferred)
*Knowledgeable/experience using purchasing and retail information systems, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
*Strong customer service and team orientation.
*Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
*Solid organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
*CMIS knowledge preferred but not required (internal candidate)
*Self-motivated with a keen sense of urgency
*Strong 10-key skills preferred, but not necessary
*Food knowledge, food business experience, and a passion for food
*Ability to organize, prioritizes, and accomplishes multiple tasks rapidly with attention to detail
*Buying office experience a plus
