The PLM collaborates closely with Merchandising, Design, Development, Sourcing and Marketing partners to brief, build, manage and launch all aspects of the seasonal men’s Training apparel ranges. H/She manages and guides the product process from analysis and product briefing thru go to market (GTM). Develop concepts and products that are brand, customer and consumer relevant while considering the global differences in culture, lifestyle, trend and evolving consumer tastes. H/She will develop products that meet PUMA’s quality, desirability and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing the market and competitor studies on an international level in partnership with Global and Regional Merchandising organizations
  • Conduct regular visits to key and emerging markets with a focus on building retail, consumer and trend knowledge
  • On-going analysis of forecasts and sales reports to monitor current performance and identify future opportunities
  • Responsible for ongoing research and analysis of style/article count and efficiency, sell-in/thru, competitor and market price and product benchmarking
  • Directly contribute to the development of the international strategy for Training range
  • Develop the product range and marketing strategies for the assigned product lines
  • Create, communicate and brief innovative new product ideas for category growth
  • Plan product range that delivers statement and price point product, driving volume at acceptable margin and sustainability goals
  • Developing a Conceptual Assortment Plan (CAP) on base of the Merchandising Plan (MPL) and Market feedback templates
  • Creating detailed product and marketing briefings for each season
  • Align with merchandising, design and development teams to ensure that the final collection is reflecting the global market needs
  • Development of product-flow charts that guarantee space management in retail
  • Supervising the development of marketing tools and marketing studies
  • Developing the product equipment and packaging in close collaboration with Marketing
  • Presenting the strategy and product lines to international partners and key accounts
  • Planning, coordinating and final checking of the order windows and on-shelf-dates
  • Planning and approval of final FOB prices
  • Cooperating in the company-wide strategic planning
  • Coordinating the information flow of all international partners in the apparel department
  • Develop and Present Category and Range plans within POD and to Management
  • Prepare and deliver impactful product and program presentations at internal review meetings, IPT and International 360 Launch
  • Ensure accurate and timely development of seasonal catalogue (Pagination, Text, Corrections)

Qualifications:
  • 4 year University or College degree in fashion merchandising /marketing, business management or other apparel/fashion related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of international product management experience with top tier sport/fashion company
  • International experience and perspective a plus
  • Direct experience in the field of performance apparel (sales, product, marketing) preferred

  • Ability and willingness to work cross functionally and with a diverse workforce, intercultural understanding
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to handle a variety of tasks at the same time and within a dynamic organization
  • Proven MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Lotus Notes
  • Adobe Creative Suite – illustrator
