This position will serve as the Financial Coordinator for our New Jersey office and Engineering Programs. The Financial Coordinator is responsible for the following duties:
•Serves as point of contact for assigned Project Managers for all financial requests.
•Receives and reviews Project Initiation packages for assigned PMs and establishes project in financial system per documentation.
•Monitors timesheet and expense entry and follows up as needed.
•Prepares invoices, reviews for accuracy and submits to PM for approval. Make corrections as directed.
•Runs and distributes project reports as requested.
•Perform quality assurance on project records; identify errors and correct data.
•Updates and maintains tracking lists for project status and compensation.
•Primary contact for outstanding receivables.
•Make collections calls weekly, making proper notes on each account.
•Work to resolve any billing issues with proper Financial Coordinator and/or Project Manager when they arise.
•Additional duties in supporting the Finance department as assigned.
•Administrative help, as needed.
•4 Year Bachelor degree (Business degree [finance/accounting/economics]) a plus.
•0-2 years billing or accounting experience, preferably with multi-national firm.
•Expertise with Project Accounting a plus.
•Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
•Exhibits superior verbal communication and phone skills.
•Consistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude.
•Detail-oriented, highly organized, resourceful, proactive and self-motivated.
•Proven efficiency working in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
•Strong proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
•Knowledge of project-based accounting system Deltek Vision a plus.
