Position Summary: Responsible for performing due diligence analyses on new applicants and member types, ongoing surveillance and monitoring of assigned member firms, and the support of initiatives to enhance the credit and overall risk environment within DTCC.

Principal Responsibilities :
o Conduct due diligence analysis on new applicants for membership through the preparation of the required documents and system inputs for the decision making process.

o Perform ongoing monitoring and surveillance of assigned members' creditworthiness, as well as for significant events, and compliance with regulatory and DTCC requirements.

o Serve as credit risk resource to DTCC personnel on assigned members.

o Support ongoing business enhancement activities within CRU through research of industry practices, credit methodologies and regulatory changes.

o Assist CRU personnel with various initiatives such as development of unit goals.

o Support the audit and examination activities involving CRU, through the compilation of data, research and preparation of reports and responses.

o Assist in the development of analyst level personnel.

o Proactively identify own development needs.

o Contribute to supporting the department in adherence to AML/BSA policies and procedures as set-forth by various regulatory bodies.

Experience : 5 years financial services industry experience, preferably in credit risk management role.

Knowledge / Skills :
o Very good knowledge of financial statement analysis, with a concentration in broker/dealers and banks.

o Very good credit and financial analytical skills.

o Very good knowledge of broker/dealer FOCUS Reports, bank Call Reports and other regulatory reports.

o Good knowledge of regulatory and credit risk issues

o Good understanding of global market risks and the impact on an entity's financial condition.

o Very good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

o Very good communication skills, both oral and written.

o Team player with the ability to take initiative.

o Ability to work well under pressure

Education, Training or Certification : Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics preferable.
