Irrigation Supervisor:

Our Irrigation Supervisor has the rewarding opportunity to manage, coordinate and monitor the performance of our Irrigation Crew(s). They are responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficiency of the installation, repair, and inspection of their irrigation systems.

Core Tasks:

  • Monitor work performed by Crew Members
  • Use trencher to dig trench
  • Watch for utility markings and zone changes
  • Monitor pipe placement
  • Monitor wire use and valve placement
  • Hook up wires to control box
  • Test irrigation to ensure all parts are working and zones are accurate
  • Complete paperwork listing materials used and job hours

  • Read work order
  • Locate repair, or direct Crew Member in locating problem
  • Troubleshoot standard and/or minor repairs
  • Responsible for repair completion and acceptable cleanup
  • Complete paperwork listing materials used and job hours
  • Responsible for stock on truck and restocking

  • Use remote control to check system
  • Complete detailed inspection listing problems by zone
  • Oversee any needed repairs
Ensure repairs do not exceed approved amount

Qualification Requirements:



1 year of experience in installation, repair, and inspection of irrigation systems, dependable and have a sense of urgency.


Must be able to:

Read written work orders, explain instructions to crew members, complete written inspection reports, drive company truck, carry 40 – 50lbs of pipe and materials, use shovel, pick axe, and pipe wrench, walk 5 – 10 miles a day, stoop, stand, kneel, and bend for 10 hours or more a day, grip and squeeze repeatedly, dig, lift, and move dirt from trench.


Must be able to operate a trencher, remote control, multi-meter, and wire locater

Must have valid drivers license


Good knowledge and understanding of irrigation systems

Basic time keeping, including calculating hours worked

Basic math, including measurements and pipe sizing


Problem solving, Trouble shooting, Supervisory skills

Valid Drivers License, Clean Driving Record within the last 3 yrs. MVR check.
