The ideal candidate for the position will be an individual who has 'real world' experience architecting, designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Windows Server infrastructure and Directory services in support of corporate standard and proprietary applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible and accountable for the 24/7 runtime environment including health monitoring with experience in network management technologies such as SNMP, WMI, Telnet, NRPE and SSH.
Capable of creating monitoring plug-ins to be utilized with Nagios/MRTG.
Ensure that mission critical and business critical incidents are addressed with urgency and documented accordingly.
Follow and enforce the Change Management process and ensure overall uptime of the infrastructure components of the production environment (hardware, operating systems, storage and other supporting infrastructure).
Work closely with the Infrastructure (ISS) and Applications(ISA) team to ensure the ongoing health, capacity planning and scalability of the productionWindows based environment.
Participate in system/network capacity planning and deployment in a rapidly evolving environment.
Create and maintain all procedural, architectural, and workflow documentation.
Evaluate and recommend server upgrades, patches (WSUS), application and hardware (HP Insight Manager) equipment requirements.
Participate in systems architecture design and implementation as needed or required.
Willingness to mentor/cross-train local team members on existing and new technologies is a must.
Act as a secondary capacity to other ISS engineers responsible for system Quality Assurance (QA), development, internal/external IT infrastructure solutions and critical projects across all of the branches including the core datacenter in Miami, Florida.
5+ years of experience with the following technologies:
Windows Server Administration in an enterprise environment (2008R2/2012).
VMware vSphere 5.x, VDI: design, installation, configuration, and administration duties for ESX/ESXi
and Xen servers.
Citrix (XenApp 6/XenDesktop/XenServer). Terminal Services/RDS. Administering large Citrix farms.
Microsoft SQL Servers (clustering/installing/troubleshooting/administering).
Storage technologies (iSCSI, NFS, FC, FcoE). SNIA Cert a plus.
Windows Scripting in Powershell, VBS, Python, Perl or Ruby a plus.
Additional required experience: Active Directory (2008/2012)-GPO-DHCP-DNS-LDAP-TCP/IP-DFSIIS-VSS-ADSI-RODC-WSUS-Linux-HP Insight Manger
