Where will you find innovation and technology? Right here at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking as a Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD.

Description of Work:
The Systems Administrator will provide system administration, maintenance and support of the Enterprise Configuration Management Systems (eCMS) platform that includes HP Universal Discovery, HP Universal Configuration Manager Database (UCMDB) Browser, HP Data Center Transformation (DCT) applications running on Microsoft Windows Server & Microsoft SQL database application platforms and will be responsible for supporting the Development, Testing and Production environments.

Job Duties will include:
Conducting Daily Maintenance Checks and preparing Daily Operations Report that summarizes the issues, problems and change requests that are planned for the eCMS application and infrastructure.

Reviewing, evaluating and planning deployment of both major and minor HP Universal Discovery application updates and patches.

Managing and supporting Federation established between HP Universal Discovery with other HP Service Applications (i.e. HP Server Management and HP Asset Management).

Leading efforts in identifying, addressing and resolving host discovery issues.

Monitoring, implementing and troubleshooting Integration Adapters that import or export data gathered the UCMDB.

Managing alert notifications for issues and outages through Sitescope or VMware monitoring. .

Managing and providing support for UCMDB SQL-Database for all the environments (i.e. monitoring database backups, Production database backup restore to Development or Test environments, etc.)

Assisting in managing the application licenses utilized by applications within the scope of eCMS.

Participating in weekly support call to review open issues and problems escalated to the third party support vendors.

Verifying and ensuring all Discovery Jobs and Integration Adapters are functioning correctly.

Leading efforts in updating and testing the eCMS Disaster Recovery processes.

Performing root cause analysis and providing reports summarizing issue and details of the analysis performed.

Maintaining the eCMS Operations Manual that includes updating the standards, policies and processes for support the production environment.

Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree and 5 Years as a Windows Server System Administrator
· 2 Years or more experience as a VMWare Virtual Systems Administrator
· 2 Years or more experience in support Microsoft MS-SQL Databases
· 2 Years or more experience in planning and implementing Server and Application Disaster Recovery
· Working knowledge of Networking Devices – Switches, Routers, Firewalls and Load Balancers
· Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux Systems
· Working Knowledge of OSI Model Layers 2-7
· General Understanding of Performance and Capacity Management, Incident and Change Management

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in installing, configuration and support of a Configuration Management System application
· Possesses hardware and technical software operations knowledge for medium- to large- organizations
· Proficiency in MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Visio

Preferred Certifications · ITIL v3 Foundations Certification preferred but not required
HP Universal Discovery and Discovery Dependency Mapping Advanced preferred but not required
