Under the direction of the Operations Center Supervisor and House Supervisors the Operations Center Coordinator assumes the responsibility for assisting in the internal operations of the St. Rose Hospitals market in relationship to patient flow and staffing for hospital patient care areas.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Two or more years in an acute medical setting to include admitting, bed management, Patient placement, staffing office or other administrative support. . A minimum of one year of participating experience in acute hospital staffing office, admitting, registration. One year staffing office experience preferred.
High School Diploma
Must have good typing skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer applications including Outlook,Excel, Word, etc. Must have knowledge of medical terminology.
1.Ability to communicate effectively verbally, on the telephone, and in writing. Ability to set priorities and follow through on projects with frequent interruptions and manage work within timeframes.
2.Must demonstrate ability to prioritize work needs, demonstrate good judgment and accept direction.

4.Must be able to cope with a continuously changing environment, by demonstrating flexibility.
5.Have and maintain a positive mental attitude. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have and maintain professional demeanor and appearance
6.Above average customer service abilities are essential. Must have highly developed skills in the area of interpersonal relations. Has daily contact with a variety of people including hospital staff, management, and physician offices.
Demonstrates courteous telephone skills. Displays an unhurried, caring manner in all personal contacts. Demonstrates the ability to remain friendly and cooperative during all work situations.
This position has a high impact on the quality of patient care. Has the responsibility to staff patient care areas with the appropriate skill mix, as well as assisting with appropriate movement of patients throughout the continuum of care. Interaction with staff and outside entities creates a positive and productive work environment.
