We are looking for an individual who can ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue reports and recording of ancillary revenues while working with revenue team members and other department groups to implement process improvements in the revenue accounting area while working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with IT and others to develop consistent, auditable, reliable reports from Sabre AirVision tables for air traffic liabilities (unearned revenue), credit shells, O&D reports, PFCs and other
  • Reconcile monthly the ATL, credit shell and cash clearing accounts.
  • Record ancillary sales in the bank accounts in Great Plains accurately and timely
  • Learn and be back up for the cash accountant and the general accountant who enters pilot logs
  • Prepare and provide the O&D report to the accountant filing the DOT reports
  • Develop reports to record sales, revenues, commissions and expenses for Sun Country Vacations. Record entries monthly in Great Plains as part of the accounting close process.
  • Develop processes to record vouchers, gift certificates, barter timely and accurately
  • Work with the preparer of the excise tax returns to insure accurate and timely filings
  • Work with the Revenue Accounting Manager and other staff members to improve the revenue accounting process
  • Other duties as assigned


  • College degree in accounting (B.S./B.A.) and/or 5 years related revenue experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Airline experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of DOT reporting
  • Some IT experience would be beneficial
  • Intermediate Computer Knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Great Plains Accounting. Sabre or other GDS experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, problem solving skills
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision individually or as a team
  • Able to work beyond scheduled shift time as required particularly during the accounting close process and during audits
  • Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test
