Maintenance Technicians are responsible for general repairs and maintenance on USFSP buildings, structures and equipment. Maintenance Technicians perform preventative and repair maintenance to keep all buildings and equipment in good operating condition. Must have the ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Shift hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm (may require occasional non-shift days/hours and holidays).
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
This position requires completion of an approved apprenticeship program for one or more trades; or a high school diploma and four years of related experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. A valid Florida Driver's License may be required if motorized vehicles of any kind are operated.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
Completion of an approved electrician apprenticeship program or 5+ years of electrician experience.
Electrical troubleshooting experience.
Fire alarm system maintenance experience.
Special Skills/Licenses/Training/Certifications Necessary: Preferred: Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
