POSITION SUMMARY: Reviews Contract Requirements as Summarized on Sales Order, Determines Required Materials, Schedules/Issues Required Work, Track and Status all Materials, assists other Planners as needed ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinates the daily activities with scheduler to ensure schedules created and obtained. 2. Reviews drawings, specifications and other project documents. 3. Opens work packages from Sales Orders and Work Order Requests, evaluates and determines project material requirements, prepares job cards and submits purchase requests. 4. Coordinates with department personnel to meet schedule priorities and requirements, monitors status of all materials by maintaining work order status logs, identifies shortages and expedites as necessary. 5. Update necessary spread sheets to give detailed status on assigned tasks 6. Work with other planners and engineering to ensure all requirements are documented

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinates with inspection group and dispatcher to maintain traceability 2. Prepares Packing Lists, packages and ships as required by the work order 3. Gives work direction to scheduler and dispatchers for kit priorities and assembly jobs as necessary.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Minimum two (2) years of trade or vocational school (or equivalent experience). Minimum (3) years manufacturing production control, assembly or fabrication experience, preferably in an aerospace environment; ability to read and interpret blueprints for writing manufacturing procedures for shop use. APICS training/certification preferred.

EQUIPMENT USED: Computer with Excel experience a must PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift/move 40 lbs., up and down stairs
