Bing is embarking on an ambitious product expansion and the execution of content and data partnerships are critical components to driving new and innovative search experiences - across PC, mobile, tablet, Xbox and other devices. This position will play a key role in the prioritization, negotiation and on-going management of Bing product partnerships necessary for the success of Bing in the U.S. and globally. This position requires working closely with the Bing Engineering and Bing Product Management teams to set long term business and partner strategy. Success requires creativity, drive, tacit leadership, analysis and the ability to sell concepts and negotiate with senior executives internally and externally. The Bing Product Partnership team’s primary mission is to leverage the content and data assets of the Online Services Division (OSD) to profitably deliver world-class Bing product experiences (‘build the Bing product’) to our global audiences. In the process, we want to establish ourselves as trusted strategic advisors to our key internal and external stakeholders. The team is a world class group of seasoned business development and technology leaders with extensive experience in online, search, digital media, software, and consulting.
-Assist in the negotiation of Bing product partnerships and data license agreements
-Identify, document and socialize optimal deal structures, ROI analysis, financial models, and best practices.
Financial / deal analysis
-Strategy development and execution - including partnership opportunity mapping, revenue model and business case development, business requirements definition
-Developing business plan forecasts for strategic partnership opportunities; identifying initial valuation parameters on potential acquisition or partnership candidates.
-Manage existing and prospective strategic partners
This role will work closely with the following groups:
-Business development and strategy team on prioritizing deal opportunities based on impact and feasibility
-BG Engineering teams on specific deal terms, forecasts and prioritization of specific deals and Product Management and Marketing on overall GTM plans and pipeline reporting
-Product Managing and Finance as a key a provider of input to financial models and business assumptions.
Skills: The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with proven capacity for strategic thought leadership, positive attitude, aptitude for seeking creative solutions to multifaceted problems, and an ability to thrive in ambiguity. In addition, the candidate should possess exceptional relationship and communication skills and be able to interact effectively with senior executives both within Microsoft and with our partners; must have strong analytical (market and financial) and project management skills; enjoy working as part of a virtual team; and have persistence, diplomacy, creativity and problem solving skills.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years in the online space, excellent communication and relationship management skills. Proven ability to negotiate, close and implement complex partnerships. BS/BA degree required MBA preferred, but not mandatory.
