Qualifications:
Full understanding of hotel meeting space reservations system, Delphi Thorough knowledge of PMS system Full working knowledge of MICROS or other POS system High School diploma some college preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in group and catering sales as well as conference service operations. Some front office experience in preferred Must be available to work day and night shifts, weekends and holidays as needed

Director of Sales and Marketing and / or Director of Sales
In this essential role, we will rely on you to lead the sales and marketing department to maximize sales revenue for the hotel. You will also determine sales and pricing strategies, adjust and manage rates and manage room inventory, coordinate sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the Company.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a Marketing Plan for the hotel Develop sales strategies and solicit business for group market segments Maintain an effective personnel sales program with specific room night and revenue goals for key accounts Responsible for all public relations Follow-up on all leads and monitor tentative business Provide input in development of advertising schedules and help coordinate internal promotions with corporate approval Develop and manage room sales and catering sales budgets Maximize revenues by maintaining and leveraging existing key accounts Manages the agency(s) responsible for web site hosting and management Responsible for updating and expenses for promotional material on property Maintain active client files Maintain and provide period end marketing and sales incentive results reports Provide sales and marketing expertise and perspective during the executive decision making process Analyze and study competition to maintain competitiveness Entertain clients to motivate them to use the hotel facilities Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules Lead weekly department meetings, participates in weekly staff meetings, weekly executive committee meetings and weekly revenue meetings Must be actively involved with area chambers, and community organizations including an active member of committees or board of directors Maintain an active involvement with the County Visitor and Convention Bureau and the Tourist Development Council including regular meeting attendance. Member of the Executive Committee Establish performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitors performance on a continual basis. Provide end of quarter sales goal report to the corporate office Develop all ends of month group PACE and productivity reports and submits to corporate Responsibility for all Trade Accounts Receivables. Monitor A/R aging on a proactive basis with his personnel, coordinates with Credit Manager and Accounts Receivable Manager/Controller Handle all interaction with local and national media, newspapers, radio and television Oversee the Group Sales Manager in the process of solicitation of business, training and development of sales team, establishment of goals, and creation of forecast for potential group business Oversee the Catering Sales Managers and Wholesale Sales Manager in the process of solicitation of business, daily operations, training, establishment of goals, and creation of forecast Oversee Group and Sales Managers interviewing and hiring activities, Social Media Coordinator and Sales Coordinator Performance of duties normally performed as a Director of Conference Services Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Plan, assign, direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees
