Due to the increasing product line and capacity, we are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer. This position supports high volume multi-axis CNC turning equipment. Knowledge of twin spindle/twin turret lathes, multi-axis lathes with live tooling and swiss CNC lathes / screw machines is needed. This facility has a large number of swiss lathes and over 100 machine tools. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for processing and programming new products and improving existing processes. Past experience working from a print or solid model, selecting the equipment, developing tooling packages, creating process documentation, programming and introducing processes on the shop floor is needed. Interested candidates will need experience developing CNC code manually or using CAM software. Strong cutting tool applications experience and the ability to optimize processes is needed. Experience designing special cutting tools is a plus. Candidates should have solid documentation skills preparing work instructions, set up sheets, tool lists, flow diagrams and inspection plans. Past experience launching new products is preferred. We are searching for candidates with hands on shop floor support experience debugging, troubleshooting and optimizing processes. Candidates should have experience on 1 or more of the follow CNC lathe brands: Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Nomura, Tornos Deco, Hanwha, Nexturn, Nakumura Tome, Eurotech, Mori Seiki or Okuma lathes. Some swiss CNC lathe / screw machine experience is needed. Knowledge of Lean principles is a plus.
MUST HAVE: 5 plus years of Manufacturing Engineer experience developing processes on multi-axis swiss CNC lathes, swiss CNC screw machines and/or multi axis lathes with live tooling. Experienced programming CNC lathes is required. Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds & speeds, process development, process documentation, continuous improvement, problem solving and documentation is needed. Degreed candidates are preferred, however, will consider top notch candidates with experience.
