Maintenance Worker jobs
Performs regular maintenance and preventative maintenance duties.
Job duties (essential functions, not intended to be all-inclusive). Under the direction of Supervisor:
1. Oversees the general maintenance of all facilities, equipment and grounds including but not limited to minor and routine painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plaster repair.
2. Performs landscape maintenance as required, scheduled or needed. This includes monitoring lawn watering systems, regular weeding and tree trimming.
3. Responsible for obtaining materials needed for work performed. Orders and/or purchases maintenance supplies for facilities covered. Ensures agency procurement process are followed regarding documentation, purchase orders, etc.
4. Inspects facilities on a regular basis. Conducts monthly safety inspections of all facilities and completes appropriate documentation. Immediately reports issues or concerns in order to maintain facilities to meet licensing standards.
5. As is relevant performs maintenance or facility work that requires a specialized skill set such as electrician, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc.
6. Utilizes knowledge of field to offer alternative options and brain storm regarding maintenance and facilities issues with supervisor.
7. As needed will participate in moving furniture, setting up or breaking down conference rooms for meetings, re-arranging offices.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements : 1. Education /Background: Minimum of GED or High School diploma plus minimum 5 years experience in field with progressively independent work processes.
2. Job Knowledge: Routine maintenance experience plus demonstrated ability to work independently. Flexibility required for position. Must demonstrate ability to work with Microsoft Office (Word, excel, outlook).
3. Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Must be able to see, stand, walk, stoop and bend frequently. Must be able to climb ladder and work in restricted work spaces. Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing 50 lbs or more. Position is exposed to inclement weather (extreme heat included). Must be able to drive within the metro valley area; upstate employees expected to drive within the northern area offices.
4. Other requirements: Must have a Physical exam upon hire and on-going periodic exams (every 3 years). Must have a negative TB-test, current CPR and First Aide certification. Must complete and meet finger printing process and DHS regulations for licensure. Must have valid driver’s license with valid AZ insurance, registration and reliable transportation.
