General Summary: Provide engineering technical support including tooling, equipment, and training for injection molding and door panel assembly production processes for current and new program set up and launch. Develops and implements manufacturing processes, procedures, and techniques to improve tooling, equipment, and operations overall efficiency, product quality, productivity, and profitability.

II. Essential Job Functions:
Provide manufacturing and maintenance technical support for injection molding tooling and machinery and door panel assembly equipment processes.

Coordinate set up and launch of new tooling and equipment involved in injection molding and manufacture of automotive door panels.

Set up injection molding and door assembly processes.

Provide tooling, equipment, and process training to manufacturing staff.

Hand over completed new processes, equipment, and tooling to manufacturing team.

Manage and lead continuous improvement activity relating to tooling and equipment including all areas of operations.

Participate in the management of environmental requirements within the facility (e.g., support environmental cross functional team, meet all environmental regulations, train team members to ISO14001 requirements, and assist with aspects of identification, development, objectives, and targets).

Support overall engineering duties associated with the facility as a whole in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements :
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Greater than five (5) years of relevant experience and academic preparation or 10 years of relevant experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment in injection molding (automotive and UBE equipment preferred).

Experience maintaining injection tooling and injection molding machines up to 2000 tons.

0-3 years of manufacturing experience in general assembly, automation, ultrasonic welding, screw tightening, vacuum forming, edge folding, ornament lamination, etc.

Two or more years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering preferred.

Experience in automotive interior components (e.g., injection, assembly, tooling, and other miscellaneous components), managing projects from design to production, is preferred.

Personal/Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of tool and equipment design, automation, robotics, and/or manufacturing process.

Basic understanding of the industrial equipment and manufacturing processes relating to automotive interiors.

Ability to troubleshoot and track equipment issues to perform root cause analysis and correct issues with equipment suppliers.

Ability to read component, assembly and equipment drawings and have an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Computer/Software:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD. CATIA experience is preferred.

Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Lotus Notes/Outlook, Internet, etc.).

Work Environment/Conditions :
Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level while performing manufacturing automotive production engineering operations. Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply. Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time. Occasionally climbing or bending on/under door panel assembly equipment and injection molding machines and tooling. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
