Smith Hanley Consulting Group LLC seeks Statistical Consultant in Houston, TX (and other U.S. locations as needed).

Assist with the implementation of statistical models; Help with consistency, standardization and correct usage of marketing mix models; Enable process alignment and oversee day to day issues (questions, meeting scheduling, data issues); Attend marketing mix meetings and drive simplification/standardization of statistical model development and implementation; Answer day-to-day marketing mix questions; Optimize deliverables from business partners/vendors; Assist with format, delivery and timelines of marketing mixes presentation, opportunity matrix, summary statistics and meta analysis; Perform Data Analysis, Data mining, Data migration and Reporting from vendor supplied sources and internal finance team, etc.; Drive alignment between modeling platforms; Marketing mixes vs. business drivers, CRM and pricing / promotion analysis; Collect, prepare, analyze and present Marketing Effectiveness Statistics/Insights; Develop and maintain reporting statistics including PowerPoint presentation; Create/maintain Business Analytics database; Present findings across BUs.

Requires a Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, plus five years of Statistical Analysis experience. One must also possess: Detailed knowledge of how marketing mix models are developed with concentration in pricing, promotion response, ROI, and product; At least 5 years of Statistical Analysis including building predictive analytics models to look at customer behavior, demographics, and spending patterns using logistic, regression, segmentation methodologies; At least 5 years experience in data mining, analysis with advanced analytical software including (SAS, SQL, or SPSS); Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills; Ability to understand and explain complex methodologies and outcomes in ways customers can apply; Ability to interact and communicate with clients or business partners, helping them to clearly understand findings and determine appropriate actions; knowledge of IRI/Nielsen scanner or transactional data. Must be willing to travel extensively to client sites throughout the U.S.
