Prolifics is seeking a WebSphere Portal Developer to work with a team of developers on various client engagements, across all industries. A qualified candidate will be strong in WebSphere Portal experience and have excellent communications skills. As a member of our Portal Practice, you will be responsible for providing consulting services for the development of WebSphere Portal and J2EE-based solutions to our client base using industry-leading products and technologies. This is a full time position within our organization and will require travel.
Responsibilities
To work on software applications with the latest technologies, including, multi-tier architectures, component technologies and the Internet
To work closely with the Project Manager of a given project
To participate in project plans
To understand the complex needs of customers involved in transactionally intensive applications
To initiate new projects by analyzing, planning and estimating based on client needs
To help identify and define enhancements to the Enterprise Solutions methodology
To understand the importance of personal utilization levels

Qualifications
PLEASE NOTE that we are currently considering candidates from all levels of experience, Architects and Developers
Experience in WebSphere Portal Development on at least one implementation
IBM WebSphere Portal v6.x design and development including developing JSR 168/286 Portlets, WSRP, JSPs and Servlets, SOAP-based Web Services, RAD, Portlet Factory and/or Eclipse IDE
Strong knowledge of WebSphere Portal components, services and frameworks, WebSphere Portal configuration, WebSphere JNDI, Spring configuration
WCM and Lotus Connections experience is a major plus
