Chesapeake Energy Corporation is seeking a talented individual for the position of Pipeline Safety Specialist. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Pipeline Safety Specialist will be responsible for all general duties related to pipeline safety, which may be related to compliance, operator qualification, public awareness, pipeline integrity, internal audits, data verification, or any combination of these. This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.
In addition, the responsibilities and duties include:
Provide liaison between COI field personnel and HQ staff regarding pipeline safety requirements.
Conduct internal gap assessments and represent COI in pipeline safety audits
Assist in the development of operations & maintenance (O&M)-related forms and processes
Coordinate with operations and/or contract personnel performing field inspections and surveys for compliance
Prepare and organize data and schedule for inspections from state regulatory personnel
Attend industry meetings and seminars in assigned areas on behalf of COI
Review and comment on manuals and correspondence related to pipeline safety compliance.
Assist with public awareness efforts as required.
Act as point of contact for field data and maps verification.
Assist in investigations of incidents and failures as required.
Other regulatory duties as required,

A minimum of five years related experience in pipeline operations or pipeline safety regulatory compliance.
Bachelors degree or additional experience in a related field.
