Human Resources Assistant - HRSpecialty Silicone Fabricators, Inc., is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of custom silicone components and parts for the medical device industry. Our specialties include silicone, extrusion, molding, and sheeting.We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to assist the Human Resources management team in the coordination of all functions of the Human Resources Department. Essential Functions: Perform preliminary recruiting activities including coordination of requests, screening resumes, taking applications, setting interviews, administering test, etc. Assist with various workforce programs, practices and techniques including employee performance reviews and employee worker's compensation. Assist in maintaining various activities designed to achieve and maintain a high level of employee morale as necessary. Close payroll periods in the ITA system and run reports. Assist with preparations for employee orientation, training sessions, including schedules, refreshments, travel, etc. Assist in clerical support of employee relations activities involving company workforce levels, leaves of absences, reference checks by other employers, personnel record maintenance, etc. Function as switchboard coordinator assuring phone coverage at all times. Process all required documentation including sorting, filing and computer entries. Participate in continuing education with regards to the human resources field. Use Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes. Share professionally related talents with colleagues or staff within the company. Perform all other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned from time to time by the employer or its designated representative.
High School Diploma, GED or any other relevant or equivalent experience. 0-3 years of manufacturing industry experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with coworkers and company representatives. Read, write, communicate, and understand the English language. Proven organizational skills. Strong computer skills, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets and report writing. Experience in or ability to develop an understanding of labor law, employee issues, and their impact to the Company.
