The Assistant Director of Student Involvement is a full time, 12 month live-on position with evening and weekend responsibilities and will report directly to the Associate Director of Student Involvement. This position will work evening hours, typically from 2:00 pm-10:00 pm, Monday ?Friday with occasional weekends. Minimum two year commitment to this position required . Responsibilities include but not limited to: Advising student clubs and organizations on event planning and space reservations. Supervise student run spaces that include Punch's Alley (on-campus pub run by students), Café Hoop (student run/coop café) and El Table (student run/coop sandwich/coffee shop). Supervise the students with the production and distribution of the annual yearbook. Assist with major events sponsored by the department that include Family, Friends and Homecoming Weekend, Fall and Spring concerts etc. Update and maintain department website and social media sites.
Master's degree required, 1-2 years of Student Activities or related experience required may coincide with graduate work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to update and maintain website. Understanding of student development theory especially women's identity development. Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
