Candidate needs to possess 5 years of grounds maintenance with some supervisory experience and have the ability and experience to operate heavy equipment and mowing equipment.
Two years experience is desired in the operation of heavy equipment: Front end loader, backhoe, road grader etc.
Must possess a CDL and have the ability to understand and read blueprints and landscape plans.
Will need excellent oral and written skills and have computer experience with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel.
Applicant must have a driving record which conforms to the District Driving Policy.
This position is subject to call beyond the regular work day.
The Assistant Grounds Superintendent will assume the duties of the Grounds Superintendent during any absence and is expected to perform regularly assigned duties in the Grounds Section when the Grounds Superintendent is present.
