Dealer Dot Com’s Finance Department is looking for a qualified candidate to join the Accounting team in Burlington, VT. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with software as a service business models and the associated complex accounting considerations. Your combination of strategic thinking, attention to detail, diligent research abilities and rigorous analytical skills makes you an integral part of the Dealer Dot Com Finance Team.

Provide technical accounting expertise throughout the organization.

Consult with business on a regular basis to ensure awareness of transactions and changes that have a potential accounting impact.

Assist in structuring transactions to maximize operating and accounting goals.

Assess issues and impact of technical accounting matters and manage to conclusions with appropriate inclusion of the finance team and business owners.

Assess implications of new accounting standards on the accounting organization and work on associated projects to implement.

Present and assist with issues and projects for senior finance management (Controller and CFO).

Preparation of memos and white papers describing the GAAP rules and how they apply to the Company to include documenting specific transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP and coming up with new policies when applicable.

Assist in the preparation and review of financial statement to ensure integrity and compliance to GAAP.

Provide real time guidance on deal structuring and revenue recognition with specialized knowledge of FASB ASC 605-25.

Assist in complex analysis such to support revenue recognition, stock-based compensation expense, internal-use software costs, and so on.

Actively participate and support the finance team with the external financial audit to ensure GAAP compliance and timely preparedness.

Other duties as assigned.

Big 4 public accounting experience or experience in a technical role required.

Experience with software and/or software as a service companies desirable.

Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to document and illustrate technical accounting concepts clearly and concisely for use by all levels of colleagues and external auditors.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
