MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: AA degree and/or equivalent work experience. Technical Troubleshooting Knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure Experience dealing with and troubleshooting Telecomm carrier circuits issues (SONET, T1, DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48, etc) Configuring BGP, EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols in large enterprise networks. Knowledge of standard Network monitoring practices and tools - NetCool, HP Network Node Manager, OpsWare, etc. 3- 5+ years of Cisco networking experience including Cisco Routers and Switches, OSPF, BGP and EIGRP. CCNA certification required. CCNP studies completed preferred - certification sponsorship offered for those demonstrated skill set. ITIL V3 Service Operations knowledge preferred (Event Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management). Strong, clear and concise communications and speaking skills. Problem resolution skills and strong customer service orientation. Ability to work in a global virtual team's environment and prioritize work. Must possess strong organizational and verbal communication skills. Individual must have the ability to work in a highly visible fast paced environment with minimal supervision and SLA deadline responsibility. Capability to treat each issue with a sense of urgency or Capability to categorize each issues significance. Hands on experience in managing and administering IT Services; must have strong self management skills, self starter, work with minimal direction. Act as a technical resource to other departments and direct reports to address and resolve inquiries and problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates a company's internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Works on project implementation. Provides training and assists with proposal writing. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, Web-enabled solutions. Administering all activities related to the monitoring and operations of the organization's wide and local area networks, ensuring integrity and reliability of the corporate and production data global network environments. Monitors network usage. Oversees network security and integrity, troubleshoots network bottlenecks and failed connections in routers, switches, hubs, or concentrators. Responsible for backup and recovery of the network. This position requires a highly motivated and flexible individual to perform Network Administration within the Thomson Reuters Global Network Operations Center.
