Candidates are required to work on site at the hospital for a minimum of six months.
The Medical Transcription is a medical language specialist that interprets and transcribes dictation by physicians and other allied healthcare professionals to document patient care and facilitate delivery of health care services.
1 year of transcription experience preferred.
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); Associate’s degree preferred.
Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred.
Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer and Email.
Proficiency with all aspects of Windows-based personal computer, include any necessary general office equipment necessary for proficient at-home transcription as specified.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and pharmacology.
Ability to comprehend diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles.
Requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.
Requires the ability and discipline to work independently with minimal supervisor in an at-home environment.
Excellent grammar and spelling skills.
