Job Summary

Acts in a commercial lending capacity to develop new commercial loan relationships in support of Division’s goals. Interacts with departments, divisions and subsidiaries of National Penn Bancshares as appropriate. Provides excellent customer service, and manages portfolio in a profitable manner.

Ensure all company, division and departmental policies, regulatory and compliance concerns and procedures are effective and implemented.

Typical responsibilities include:
• Proactive, timely and on-going evaluation of individual customer portfolio with focus on accurate credit risk ratings, assurance that all required financial information is received on schedule and thoroughly reviewed and analyzed, and diligent effort to address any documentation exceptions, delinquencies, overdrafts, or other credit administration exceptions.

• Call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business. Cross-sell various National Penn Bancshares products and services. Develop relationships with key referral sources such as attorneys, accountants and insurance agents. Conduct loan closings.

• Review and analyze financial information. Recommend approval, renewal, or rejection of loans. Assist credit analyst in the evaluation of loan requests.

• Participate in community activities through service organization, non-profits, etc.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar business related field or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience (minimum of two college level accounting courses required).
• 2-5 years lending experience
• Ability to manage a moderately sized portfolio
• Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
• Excel or other spreadsheet experience required.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills, as well as good communication skills (both written and oral) are required.
• Business development and customer service ability required.
