Performs ICD-9-CM and CPT coding of all charts via encoder within three days of discharge. Maintains a productivity average of 5 inpatient charts per hour, 8 ambulatory surgery charts per hour, 50 outpatient charts per hour, and 30 Emergency room charts per hour. Performs automated abstracting of charts. Responsible for routing charts to appropriate filing area after coding.

Responsible for coding optimization on all patient types. Responsible for following up on billing error report with in five days.
