Specialized medical professionals in the art of roentgenography. Patient care specialist that works as both individual-care-provider and as part of a diagnostic team under the guidance of a Diagnostic Supervisor & the Radiologists. Performs tasks abiding by P&P, State Regulations, & ALARA radiation safety principles. Utilizes x-ray photon producing equipment to image the human body. Works under potentially stressful situations i.e., trauma cases. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Requires California State Department of Health Services certificate as Certified Radiologic Technologist. Individual must be a graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. High School Diploma or GED.

MINIMUM REQUIRED: Requires California State Department of Health Services certificate as Certified Radiologic Technologist and current Floroscopic certificate. If extern or new grad, must obtain Floroscopic certification within 6 months of date of hire or promotion. Current CPR certificate.
