The Optimization Specialist position is charged with embedding learning and optimization skills at the independent office practice level. The Optimization Specialist is responsible for developing and conducting process analysis that brings efficiency and optimization of the use of the electronic medical record with physicians and hospital clinical staff. The majority of learning and optimization will occur with physicians and clinicians in real time, on a one-to-one or small group basis within the clinical units. Defining meaningful metrics and using them to report progress are components of this position.
Analyzing opportunities for practice and office efficiency with focus on the optimal use of EPICCare.
Developing plans to take advantage of these opportunities.
Effectively implementing those plans by training providers and staff to create “best practice and spread.”
Measuring the impact of their work.
Providing advanced training to physicians and clinicians.
AMC/TC Focus. Interaction with RMC,NL,SMC,CHW and Bellin
40 hours per week. 8 hours on a typical day. Start/end time vary depending on the work needing to be done.
On call every 7
weekend. Also on call approximately 4 weekday nights per month.
Experience and skills: Demonstrated competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently; to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and to bring them to timely and accurate completion; willingness to learn TIS tools; to organize, plan and manage projects; and to analyze and interpret data.
