At Oshkosh Corporation we are dedicated to designing and building the world's toughest specialty trucks, truck bodies, and access equipment by working shoulder-to-shoulder with the people who use them.
Responsible for the planning, development, and launch of new products as well as monitoring positioning and market acceptance of existing JLG product in order to maximize the strategic and financial benefits for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the formulation and proposal of long-term product planning strategy
Lead the product planning process
Develop and maintain new product definitions, including global customer requirements
Participate in conducting market research and understand channel-to-market opportunities and requirements for new products with Product-Market Development
Coordinate with New Product Development, changing product development priorities due to new competitive threat, etc.
Assist in launching Integrated Product Development (IPD) teams and play an active role in team activities
Prepare project plans, ROI analysis, and cash flow analysis
Determine and track project budgets
Determine product option and accessory availability, including global configurations
Coordinate Product Life Cycle gates
Present project and product-market status to senior management
Resolve unexpected product development problems with Sales and Marketing, such as schedule, cost, or machine performance
Bachelor’s degree in related field
8-plus years related experience
Master’s degree degree in Mechanical Engineering
Good background in mechanics of materials
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
