*This position is currently contingent upon contract award.
Military Education. Minimum three years experience in military training and education. Attendance at Intermediate Level School such as Marine Corps CSC or completion of equivalent nonresident course required. Attendance at SAW or NWC is preferred.
Military Operational Experience. Minimum eight years operational experience in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, and/or combat service support units and related equipment in support of MAGTF or joint/combined exercises/operations. Minimum three years demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the operational command level as measured by actual operational force employment experience. Direct participation in real world operations is desired.
Manages, supervises, and coordinates the efforts of contractors (analysts) assigned to the Functional Analyst Branch. Determines required effort to complete branch tasking. Prepares monthly projections and final tally of hours committed in support of the contract. Supervises and manages Functional Analyst Branch personnel acting as Observer-Trainer-Collectors and/or performing their functional responsibilities during MSTP exercises and training evolutions. Develops and manages the Functional Analyst Branch training plan. Provides specific training in exercise design and execution to individual military analysts in order to provide MSTP with experienced Assistant Exercise Control Officers (EXCON A) capable of fulfilling requirements during MSTP supported MEF Exercises and Mission Rehearsal Exercises. Recommends branch travel plans to support events away from resident site. Provides analysis during events, and attends conferences and meetings at both the resident site and other locations off-site. Performs research of concepts and plans and conducts analysis of factual data and prepares reports, briefs, and documents in support of MSTP training evolutions. Manages, supervises, and coordinates the efforts of contractor personnel in development of scenarios, concepts, products and other deliverables that may be specified in support of scenario development and event design. Assists in reviewing classified material and recommends a lesser classification for use in classified events, models simulations, demonstrations, reports, and/or briefings. Maintains a detailed knowledge of the Marine Corps Planning Process and associated Joint Planning Processes. Based on functional background, additionally performs those duties listed under Functional Military Analyst.
