Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education.

Processing of patient samples for analysis and culture. This includes reviewing appropriateness of requests, accessioning, aliquotting, centrifugation, and shipping preparation for specimens sent to a reference laboratory. Performs pre-analytical steps related to the initial set-up and plating of microbiology specimens and stain preparation. Performs standard laboratory procedures requiring the limited exercise of independent judgment and interpretation. Works under direct supervision of clinical laboratory technologist, laboratory Supervisor or manager of a clinical laboratory.

Requires Associate or higherfrom a NY State certified clinical laboratory technician program, as well asminimum1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Also requires New York State Clinical Laboratory Techniciancertification.

Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
