The hours for this position will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-3pm, and one Friday per month. This position will see new and follow-up patients of all ages and provides them with problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions. Presents patients, when appropriate, to the supervising Urologist. Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed. Performs or assists in office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound and biopsy, cystoscopies, post-void residuals, difficult catheterizations, and other necessary procedrues. Orders and interprets lab, xray, special studies and clinical procedures and Develops a treatment plan for urological conditions in accordance with current urology practice. Provides appropriate care and follow-up. Provides phone consultation for patient complaints and prescription refills.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have an active Physician Assistant license to practice in the State of Iowa. Specialty experience in Urology is a plus. History of consistently demonstrated excellent customer service, quality of care, interpersonal and team work skills that meet or exceed The Finley Hospital core values, service excellence and promise to my co-workers expectations.
