This position follows the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) contract and is effective Spring semester.

South Central College seeks an innovative instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. SCC seeks a Mathematics Instructor interested in teaching introductory college level courses, with an occasional assignment possible in pre-college (developmental) level courses. Classes are held on two campuses located in North Mankato and Faribault. Classes meet during daytime hours, in the evenings, and there is also the potential for weekend class offerings. Faculty members at South Central College are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide matters to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission.
Expectations include continuous curriculum development, revision of instructional material, and assessment of learner outcomes. SCC expects faculty to fully participate on committees involving academic, professional, and student development.
Located on two campuses, South Central College is an open door community and technical college serving students through liberal arts, transfer, and career and technical programs. • Master's degree with a major in Mathematics or a Master's degree with a minimum of 16 graduate semester credits (24 graduate quarter credits) in Mathematics.
• Ph.D. in Mathematics
• Teaching experience
• Experience developing and using student-centered, active and experiential learning strategies
• Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery
• Experience assessing student academic achievement
• Experience working with diverse populations, first generation students, underrepresented groups, and under-prepared students
