Responsibilities - Weill
Nurses Aide position in the NeuroScience ICU at the Weill Cornell location. 12-hour night shifts. A minimum of one year of Nurse Aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved, accredited Nurses' Aide training program is required. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
The contribution of the Nurse Aide to the Nursing team is essential to the achievement of total patient care. S/he carries out routine tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and within the policies of the Division of Nursing and as identified by the individual Clinical Nursing Department. Performs selected duties to maintain a safe, neat, and clean patient environment. Must have the ability to demonstrate mathematical competency and be physically able to undertake tasks as outlined. The ability to work harmoniously with staff, patients, and visitors is required, as well as being able to receive direction from and report to a designated registered nurse.
